Dolphin 12

I was in Ayr to get a couple of things sorted out today and took the opportunity to head off to the airport for an hour or so.  This Merlin helicopter was the climax of the visit as she popped in for a hot fuel stop before completing her journey to Lossiemouth. 
 
The extras today show her arriving and also the view tonight of 5 USAF Hercules transport aircraft sitting on the apron.  Welcome to USAFB Prestwick.  As ever you never can tell what is going to be about at Prestwick.  On the other side of the runway was a Kuwait C17 transport aircraft.  Nice to see a busy day.
