Scarlet Rage

Scarlet-lined, the young crow's mouth
gapes loud, enraged with hunger.
The bird's sibling pecks around,
silently, patiently scouring.
Arghk! Arghk!
Don't their parents hear?
Or do they fear the ground
too close to human?
At last, the furious youngster asks
its fellow-fledgling -- a step too far!
They both fly off,
Arghk!
Argh!
Arr!

This juvenile crow was so loud. I've picked the sharpest shot for my main blip, but as the bird's hunger and frustration increased, it raised its wings to add visual emphasis to its squawk (See less sharp Extra). Certainly got me out of bed, anyway!
