By Mover

Only £4

After a walk around Cockington we went on the English Riviera Wheel. It was only £4 for concessions. You get three revolutions for your money and some spectacular views. Above the harbour is Vane Hill and a good example of some dodgy 1960s planning decisions. The three tower blocks on the left are 'the Shirley Towers', the three ugly sisters. Pevsner described the 1960s Torquay skyline as undistinguished, ungainly, disastrous, and inept. I pointed these architectural blights out to Mrs Mover but she had her hands over her eyes.
