Keeper of the Gate

This is apparently a Gatekeeper butterfly or pyronia tithonus to give it its Latin name.  As you can see it was happily sitting on the hydrangea in the garden when I popped out to take a shot for today's blip, after watching the Ladies Wimbledon final on the TV this afternoon.

I'm practically all packed for the trip.  Once I have finished this shot, I will be double checking the camera kit and packing that next.  I'm not quite sure what I am going to do about blipping next week whilst away.  I suspect that I will probably be back-blipping when I get back.
