Loch Maree

Just one pic for today (which is actually yesterday and not the one I originally chose).
Reasonably bright, with the sun breaking through at times to begin with, but getting breezier and cloudier.
First we paddled from our island and loaded the kayaks on the car before going the 10 miles or so to Slattadale which we'd sussed out as a good launch place for the loch (and confirmed by our landlord). Did a 5k paddle round one of the islands, quite hard work at times against breeze and current but lovely and sheltered round the far side where there was some wildlife to be seen.
Being on the water means you get different angles on things, Slioch on the right and the one next to Weds' one on the right.
Once back on shore, some lunch eaten and the  kayaks back on the car it was time for a short run along the shore path, rather wet in places.
We finished off the day's activities with tea and yummy key lime pie in Gairloch.
Back on the island we did most of our packing so our landlord could take it over in his boat as the forecast for the morning was bad, that meant we were able to have a relaxing last evening but no laptop.
