Fyoo-zhuh n (girlfriend, boyfriend)

The Prince Lot Hula Festival is being held this year at Iolani Palace.   Stayed for awhile, but then wandered over to HISam (Hawaii State Art Museum).   A new exhibit is showing on the second floor "Hawaii: Change and Continuity".    This one deserves a closer look.  It is by Daniel Pardini and is entitled:  "Fyoo-zhuh n (girlfriend, boyfriend)" .

The description says fyoo-zhuh n  describes the process of bonding or fusing.   Honolulu photographer Daniel Pardini  photographs two subjects that have a significant relationship to one another.  He then meticulously stitches the two pictures together in Photoshop.    "I try to portray a sense of magic through illusion and visual traps.  My initial intention was to visually represent the relationship of the two subjects, but I also hope to trigger the imagination of the viewer into envisioning himself or herself in a  fyoo-zhuh n portrait.
Here is his website.   This same photo in full is at the bottom.
