Vallisaari

We drove Emma to Helsinki-Vantaa airport very early in the morning. She traveled to Anykščiai, Lithuania with WU16 National Basketball team. They'll have a camp for ten days, and they'll play two matches against Ukraina. 

After goodbyes to Emma, we (me, hubby, Leevi and Sami) had a trip in Vallisaari island (Located in the Gulf of Finland, few kilometres away from Helsinki). It's very charming island with interesting history and a unique nature - Vallisaari wasn't opened for the public for the first time until in May 2016. The island has been used by the military since the 18th Century and most of the fortifications works date from the 19th Century.  

Our 23rd anniversary was celebrated in lovely sunny weather! An anniversary photo as an extra. The green rose chafer was  also photographed in Vallisaari island.
