Umi No Hi

It's Sea Day which means a national holiday and, in my town, drunk people carrying portable shrines through the night and into the sea at sunrise.

See the extras.  I was a bit late down there at 6am-ish.  Most of the action was done with but there were still plenty of faces around.

These three caught me taking a photograph of their backs as they stared out to sea.  It was a film camera so I don't know if it came out well, yet.

Once again I find myself processing them in mono.  It's a lazy phase...maybe.
