Hope springs

I had to go along and check out the Natural History Museum's latest exhibit.

Hope the Blue Whale represents the first creature we successfully saved from extinction. I remember the 'save the whale' campaign vividly when I was younger.

She's very impressive and seems larger than Dippy the diplodocus who lived there before. This is largely due to her jaw bones (if you can call them that). She has no teeth because she eats by sifting tiny krill (tiny crustaceans) from the ocean. She is also a mammal. Extra.

Dippy is on tour I believe.
