Riverside Cottage

As part of our planning for visitors from Italy we thought we should check out some of the local attractions. One which had come to our notice was the Cambus o'May Cheese Company. We found the place without too much difficulty just off the main road, and down a short rough track (not suitable for my car).

It is Saturday, so maybe this was why there was no sign of life. The place looked run down and abandoned, which it might not be, but that was certainly the appearance. We will not be returning!

It was lunch time, we retreated back up the track and crossed the over the road to the Riverside Cottage. Quite lively as there were a lot of people there. We were lucky to get the last remaining free table. A light lunch of tapas before continuing our research in the direction of Crathie and Braemar. A visit to the Royal Lochnagar distillery could be on the cards for our visitors.
