The sun on the Tyne.

We arrived back to Blighty after four months away. A drive up to Otterburn and the A68 splendid in the sun. Meadowsweet everywhere. And finally at 2pm we were home, the Boss with a raging throat.

It makes you realise how big Europe is and how much we stand to lose. Amazing, for all its problems, to be able to use the same money in my pocket in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands with never a passport shown or a border guard passed.

What utter folly.
