hello deer

The day after the wedding. We had decided on a coastal walk, it was scorching hot and we tired from the previous day but we had to get up and out and not miss such a great day. Our holiday house guests unfortunately had to travel home.

We were on the way to West Lulworth when I spotted some ears popping up in a field. Quick turnaround pull up on a verge behind a hedge and hey presto this gorgeous roe deer stayed around enjoying the farmers best produce.

From West Lulworth we walked uphill past the the caravan park and on to Scratchy Bottom, what a great name for the crevice between the buttock hills. The return coastal path walk past Durdle Door was a first for us and is totally stunning. The blue sky and sea could not be spoiled even by the horde of people at Durdle Door. I am not sure of the butterfly enjoying the view in extra, some sort of fritillary?
