Henry Lyon

Buried underneath this monument are the founders of Newark, New Jersey. Gina's mothers name was Lyon. Gina's ancestors are direct descendants of Henry Lyon, one of the founders of the city. He left Scotland in 1666, having witnessed the killing of King George I. Henry was the treasurer and the first innkeeper. The cemetery is the Fairmont Cemetary located in Western Newark straddling the Garden State Parkway.
