Arles Hospital

An incredibly warm day in the south of France where Seung Eun and I visited the hospital Van Gogh stayed in between the end of 1888 and beginning of 1889. He famously painted from the balcony we stood on, looking down at the beautiful coloured flowers below. We talked about mental illness, dark times, and how tragic it all was for him. He killed himself a year and a half later.
