Photographic Journeys

Prayer Beads, Ladakh, IN

An elderly man and his grandson give me a blessing at a Buddhist festival near Tak Thok monastery, Ladakh.

The festivals happen once a year and are spread over the summer months when each of the local (and not so local) monasteries open their doors to travellers and tourists, locals and the public in general.

Photographic Journeys take a small guided group of photographers across Ladakh each year. The altitude is at times over 4500m and it's not for everyone ....but you'll be rewarded by some of the world's most dramatic landscapes and scenery.

I tend to think of Ladakh a little like 'Little Tibet' , it's a truly amazing place inhabited by beautiful calm and sensitive people
