Time Delay

That's over an hour of my life I won't get back as the challenge of getting my money out of the Barclay's empire reached a heady climax.

After being told over the phone that I'd be charged £25 as an admin fee, which they reimbursed after I challenged their logic, imagine my surprise when Paul behind the counter checked that I was OK with the £335 fee I was going to be charged for transferring my savings.

To cut a long, irritating and frustrating story short I was left with the option of leaving the cash with them or paying £115 to move it.

The Banking Ombudsman is the next step.
