Generations of Southern cooks before me cooked with what they grew and had on hand. As I have said before, we grew eggplant, but I knew limited ways to prepare it. Not anymore!! :-) I made eggplant parmigiana and it is good!! We also had okra fries and freshly pickled guinea eggs!
Another hot one today. Too miserable to be outside for long at a time. The down time is welcomed.
(This is basically an emergency blip as I feel rather uninspired.)
