On Guard

Lots on today. Annie's away for the rest of the week working in Bristol. I (Chris) had a day of conference calls but popped to the hospital for some blood tests (regular diabetes stuff) and then out this evening to run the camera club car treasure hunt.

Club members buddied up into teams to take on the challenge which involved visiting three local villages to find the answers to a series of questions. There was a photographic element too, bonus marks for those that could find something to photograph to match the requests. Hopefully we made people look a little harder for small details than usual (as well as testing their anagram solving skills). The winning team smashed it getting most of the clues and all the extra photographic marks available. That was despite the rain coming later in the evening. By the time we were totting up scores, we had thunder and lightning as well as a deluge so timing was pretty much spot on. The prep work (mostly Annie's) was very much appreciated.

Annie got her Open University maths course results back this afternoon. Of the girls she's the first to get her results this summer. She scored 100% in the exam and together with 100% on the coursework, she's got a Distinction for this module. What a fab result. She's very pleased and I'm proud of her.
