A Black and White Moment

Lately each day has become a little clearer. It's like time's moving a bit slower then it has in the past. The days seem to be more defined, and when they end, they leave behind a move vivid collection of events.

One such event today, was stopping in to see my sister. She currently resides in a group home in the adjoining neighborhood. Time is beginning to wear hard on her, but today she was resting in a very contemplative and peaceful place.

While visiting there I had this very black and white moment realizing how we, the siblings, are now all that's left of the family. It brought about a smile which was really refreshing in this time of loss. 

Sometimes the slightest mindful moment can brighten the whole day... even when it's black and white.
