Thirsty

I spent a long time in the garden this morning pulling out the weeds and the weed trees that have sprung up amongst the rubble in the yard. The organic waste was being picked up today and I managed to fill the bin by the time the truck came by. 
The lavender is abundant this year and there were 3 or 4 bees/bumblebees at a time on the plants all day. I tried for a bee in flight but failed miserably although I got a good look at one having a drink.
 It was stinking hot, again, but cooled down in the afternoon with the thunderstorms. However, no rain for us, unfortunately.
