Bee On A Sunflower.

In mythology, sunflowers are associated with fertility if you eat the seeds and bathe in the petals. Blend the flowers with the oil, leave for 3 days to thicken and the faerie folk will appear. Plant sunflowers around your home to bring fortune your way. Pick one at sunset and wear it and it will bring you luck the next day.  Sleep with the flower under your pillow to find out the truth about something. Slip sunflower oil or the seeds into somebody's food or drink and they will be loyal to you. In Greek mythology, a maiden fell in love with Apollo. When he passed overhead in his fiery sun chariot, she left her chores, sat on a rock and gazed at him for nine days with no food or water. Apollo was annoyed with the girl's foolishness and flung a sun arrow at her. She turned into a sunflower and to this day, she faces east in the mornings and west in the evenings, following the path of Apollo. A sad tale of unrequited love.      The bee looks quite small on this large sunflower.
