An Impressive Knocker

Who lives in a house like this?

Work took me to a beautiful country house today. Can you name it?

Here are some clues from the National Trust website...

"This imposing house, set in tranquil grounds, resembles the great Hardwick Hall. In the 19th century Sir Charles Barry created the opulent interiors we see today.

"Several rooms display part of an international collection of needlework, lace and costume. The wooded park offers wonderful walks."

It's also on the Bronte Way. Which is why I was there awaiting two brave walkers who'd spent the day in the rain to provide an article for the up-coming Burnley Visitor's Guide.
