Rainy Allotment Mornings

Off to the allotment this morning - as is my custom on all Saturdays. It was quite productive despite the torrential rain that drove us all into our sheds and greenhouses.

We've been a bit sparse on rain this year and the ground needs it. 

See the extra photos too.  I took those wonky shaped courgettes home and turned them into soup for lunch - (cooked in freshly extracted vegetable juice from celery, cucumber, and spinach).  The red flowers are runner beans coming along nicely.
