Paddle Steamer on the Yukon

This afternoon did an excursion on this boat. Went to the confluence of the Klondyke and The Yukon. Heard lots of history as we went. This place is just full of history.
Walked the town this morning photographing the buildings. The whole place fascinates me. 1800 permanent residents live here, all tourism shuts down on 10th September until May. The streets and roads are all just compacted dirt and gravel and the streets are board walk.
Tonight went on an excursion to the Dome. Top of a very high road and could look out over the mighty Yukon and in the other direction the confluence of the Klondyke and the Yukon.
I am so glad I chose this trip as it is such a different part of the world.
Daylight practically all the time. It is now 10.45 pm and all the teenagers out roaming the street. A huge music festival on, even a band fron Haiiti here.
Moving on to Fairbanks in the morning so maybe better wifi.
