Colourful canoes, 12th Century castle #RLS Day 22

Grez-sur-Loing is home to the remains of a 12th Century tower, once part of the defences to keep those from the south out of Paris (or some such - alas, my French is near zero). The Loing is now a popular river for canoeing (or is it kayaking?). In this blip I attempted to fit both into one picture.

Only a week left here! I'll be sad to leave, but eager to get home. Writing retreats are brill.
