Small Whites on Large Yellow...

I think the flower is an Inula of some sort, but I couldn't find it in my wild flower book so maybe it's a garden escapee as it was growing in a field near to a farm. Anyway it was quite stunning and completely abuzz with all sorts of insects.

I'd joined the Amber Valley Ramblers group for a 12 mile walk from Gradbach, following a few paths that I knew - including the one leading to the ice-cream van see extra - but many more that I didn't!

We walked at a good pace and managed to get back to the café in time for tea and cake :-)
