Loch Turret

Much happier day today, in spite of another sleepless night.  I must be getting used to them:-)

We drove to Crieff in the rain (again!) for lunch at the Wild Thyme Restaurant at Glenturret Distillery (yes, another voucher!)  A superb 2-course lunch, each having different choices, but all delicious.  Would be happy to return and pay full price another time.

The rain had stopped when we came out and the skies cleared, so we drove up to Loch Turret, risking the car on the pot-holed road!  A very pleasant walk (hobble for me) along one side of the dam wall and then back again, watching enviously as families and couples tackled the circular walk round the loch.

Half way back down the road, we stopped so that I could photograph an unusual tree trunk and noticed a very poorly sheep with a very swollen leg.  Sadly, we had no idea who to contact to advise them, so we had to leave it there.  (See Extra)

No need to eat again tonight, which is an added bonus to a lovely day!
