Nigella

As a youngster I knew this plant as 'Love-in-a-mist'. The flower was great for pressing. The colour never faded and occasionally I would find one of my pressed flowers in between the pages of a big heavy book. I went through a phase of using the  pressed flowers to make pictures and then give them as presents.

Now, I just like to see the pretty flowers with the feathery foliage growing in gardens.
