Roli's Seaboard

Today was VERY full--starting with Tamworth's Saturday market and and ending with this fascinating presentation of Roli Lamb's musical keyboards--they have a "springy, foam-like" surface that can be touched or pressed to yield endlessly variable sounds. Roli is a cousin of mine--brother of Rosy  and son of Albert Lamb (here second from right). He is based in London and his company has grown from zero to some 140 employees in just a few years. The two Italian musicians demonstrated various techniques and played a couple of compositions. It was all extremely impressive.

The main event of the day was a large reunion of the Boyden family--my mother's side--who  have  lived and summered in Tamworth NH since the middle of the 19th century. Nearly 90 persons attended a late afternoon reception at Brookland (my cousin Chris's house, where we regularly spend time in the summer)--it was quite wonderful.
