Ice Cone

I've wanted to try this for some time ... a flower 'floating' in ice.  So when I accidently knocked a flowerhead off my new Echniacea or Cone Flower plant,  rather than let it go to waste, I dunked it in water and stuck in the freezer overnight. 

Apparently, distilled water is better to use, as tap water ( as used here) goes cloudy when frozen, but it cleared somewhat as it melted, and I rather liked the this view from the back of the flower
