Breakey Blips

The morning commute

On our first day on Iona, I woke early, clambered down from my top bunk and left my 6 other dorm mates sleeping, to see what the day would reveal.

I truly hadn't expected to be roped into shooing sheep out of the garden of the MacLeod Centre!

The programme for the week was entitled "Change Without Decay" and residents at the Abbey itself and the slightly more modern MacLeod centre were all involved.
Apart from engaging in plenary sessions and various activities in one or other of the centres, we all met in the abbey for worship twice a day.
It has good accoustics, which coupled with beautiful music led by John Bell and Graham Maule, it was so much fun to be part of something quite wonderful.
As you can see the weather lifted and the beauty of the island was revealed.
