Beneath Biscay

Great to see what I'd call 'real ale' making steady inroads in Gijon. It's known as 'cerveza artesanal'' here. There are even several local Asturian micro beweries. For years there was nothing but lager-like San Miguel, Mahou etc. The Spanish equivalent of Watney's red barrel I suppose. Nowadays it's not hard to find a good selection of IPAs both local and imported from around the world. Bliss.
