Today our elder granddaughter, aged 3, came for afternoon tea, invitation and replies had been issued and received.
Finger sandwiches with cucumber, ham and jam, apple wedges, grapes and cheese and to finish, chocolate cake topped with raspberries from the garden, served on my Haddon Hall cake stand.
It was voted a success!
I even dug out a small Old Foley teapot and milk jug and some small coffee cups and saucers so she could pour her own drinks of water or milk.
