Celebration, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Day 26

We came across this event, perhaps a wedding, or a restaurant opening. Young men climbing up poles, doing acrobatics, drummers, dragon dancers.

We walked the length of Walking Street, and got nearer to the hotel with the helicopter landing pad (extra).

Lunch at Dong Pho Quan Hue. Authentic Hue and Central Vietnamese cuisine with French influences. What a treat. Here we met Mme Anh, who had advised on our travel arrangements, booked the drivers, recommended hotels and restaurants. She chose the most delicious of menus to sample. French delights to finish, I had an orange and passion fruit eclair.

Off to the airport, more First Class treatment, and a smooth flight back to Singapore. Immediately on arrival one feels so much more at ease. A top class, clean airport, with beautiful floral displays. Even sweet trays at Immigration, and orchids in the middle of luggage collection belts.
