Hastings Fishing Fleet

We're having an early evening stroll on Hastings beach in amongst the fishing boats. Although this one doesn't look in particularly great nick, the rest of the fleet is one of the biggest beach launched fleets, if not the biggest, in the country. If only they could get the landing quotas sorted out for small operators like this - stop them having to chuck away any fish that ends up in their nets, over their miniscule quota, before they land.
Weather's looking a bit threatening. I don't think I'd be venturing out in RX16 tonight!
