Celebrating World Peace Day

I took a number of photos today which were technically superior to this, but none, I think, more appropriate to blip.

Some of us from the Abergavenny Women's Walking Group finished our walk today at the home of a friend who was celebrating the opening of a Peace Garden. She has commissioned a beautiful statue for the garden of a little girl holding out a paper crane as a symbol of peace. The little Japanese girl who was the model for the sculptress was playing in the garden when we arrived and she made paper cranes for all of us.

On our way we'd walked along a stretch of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. I was on the lookout for a kingfisher. No sign, but there was a heron. Okay, he's not a crane. But he's the next best thing.

Fold paper cranes for peace.

Visualise World Peace.
