MR. CLEAN...

This great guitar belongs to a professional musician friend I've known for nearly 40 years. He must have bought it 20 years ago & every time it's had the slightest wound, he's brought it to me for surgery.

Recently it fell over on stage & the truss-rod got knocked out of kilter resulting in a weeny high-pitched buzz on the 9th fret of the second string.

For me - this would be a plus - I like a bit of dirt from my guitar!

For Mr Clean, this is anathema - & he's prepared to pay €650 to put in a new truss-rod, involving removing the fingerboard.

To remove a fingerboard you need an iron (for ironing linen) a good quality kitchen knife & a hammer. You can see, it came off clean!
