Claddagh Ring

I found this tree hollow and thought it would make for an interesting photograph. I wear this Claddagh Ring almost every day. My boyfriend Matt is coming to visit for the weekend and I thought this would make a sweet tribute to him.

The Claddagh Ring is a traditional Irish ring that is worn as a token of friendship, love or marriage. The way it is worn has significant meaning:

On the right hand with the point of the heart toward the fingertips, the wearer is single and may be looking for love.

On the right hand with the point of the heart toward the wrist, the wearer is in a relationship, or their heart has been "captured".

On the left hand with the point of the heart toward the fingertips, the wearer is engaged.

On the left hand with the point of the heart toward the wrist, the wearer is married
