Good review?

I went to the Watershed 'arty' cinema on Bristol Harbourside to see , I seem to remember, the well reviewed in the press 'The Beguiled.' Coming out of the theatre There is a notice board welcoming comments with mainly less than positive review . Did we all watch the same film?
