Alexandra Arch, Southern Ridges, Singapore

Day 28

LRT and MRT to Harbourfront. We went underground in bright sunshine, emerged to torrential rain. A wander around Vivocity, including a drop by Marks & Spencer. Ladies' tops and dresses seemed a different range. We recognised many of the dried foods, a few freezers of tasty delights. No sandwiches, not 'a thing' here.

After lunch at the local Hawker Centre, we walked up Mount Faber, to enjoy the views and cable cars. Another downpour, enjoyed chatting to a local jogger in a shelter. On to the walk, and Henderson Waves footbridge. What a great design. I liked all the curves, and seating areas.

We continued on to the terraced garden, raised forest walk which runs over 1.5K. We came across three wild monkeys, enjoyed great views across the city. Ended up at Alexandra Arch, and then excellent signage, and lovely gardens along the path to the Labrador MRT. We also went along the boardwalk there, spotting a big lizard in the mangroves.

Dinner at Potien, quite delicious, especially the fish, and chicken in red wine. We did browse the shops after, came across a Tupperware shop. The real thing. I miss this in the UK.
