Pelican, Low Tide

The Sand Guy said it took four hours to make this piece. It's eight feet wide. Seeing it intact is one of the rewards for going on an early morning walk, before the wild children and dogs have even thought about running through it.

Hard day at the dentist's. I'm still reeling from two hours in the chair. It's nice that I can listen to Frank Morgan while my teeth are being drilled. Poor Frank. He was meant for better things, but I can float away on those notes like no others, and it gets me through. As I said, it's nice, but not nice enough to balance out having that weird rubber thing holding my mouth open for way too long. Plus the drilling really does overpower the sax. Poor Frank.
