Sumburgh Light

Over the last few weeks I've been hearing stories about the dreadful weather up on Shetland.

However, we had a smooth ferry crossing from Aberdeen last night, were able to wander around at Sumburgh Head almost in shirt-sleeves at lunchtime and I was even able to get the grass cut during the afternoon.

The scaffolding around the Light is part of a major reconstruction project underway at Sumburgh to develop it as a major tourist attraction.
