Montbretia (Crocosmia)

It looks like our luck may have run out as far as the weather is concerned. We were grateful that today had always been pencilled in as a rest day from cycling. Otherwise we would have almost certainly suffered a soaking at some point.

We spent much of the day in Bowmore, dodging rain showers. I also found some time to write up several posts for my (other) blog, and finish off the second book of Elena Ferrante's Neopolitan novels. After dinner at the Peatzeria we created an itinerary for some American guests at our bed and breakfast who have 48 hours back on the mainland before flying home to Ohio on Sunday.

My blip is of the giant montbretia in the garden of our bed and breakfast taken from a distance through our bedroom window when the sun popped out.

Exercise today: minimal walking.
