Not sure how he's got so portly all of a sudden, I think he's just making himself look larger when he sings so amazingly loud & OUT IN THE OPEN - although he didn't stay there for long, later, it was muffled singing in the hedge again! I heard him first this morning & went to find him, he was singing right at the top of the hawthorn tree, no way was I going to be able to capture him with the camera up there... he saw me watching him, so he came down & perched on this branch just above me :) Feathery xxx's
