Wild water lily

Today's expedition was to the south. We first cycled to Port Ellen, where we had lunch in a quirky community centre that also serves as a café - much better value than yesterday.

We made the Laphroaig distillery our main venue for the afternoon. We took a tour with a couple of American musicians who are currently based in Germany, and afterwards sat with them in the distillery bar. Here we enjoyed talking to our new friends while sampling some of the distillery wares (hic!)

On the way back to Bowmore we stopped to photograph wild lilies growing in a roadside loch, as blipped.

We returned to the Peatzeria for supper on our last night on Islay. Tomorrow we will be on Arran.

Exercise today: 24 miles of tandem riding.
