Gardener's enemy

This is a Capsid Bug.
It is a member of the Miridae family which has 10,000 species worldwide and with new ones still being discovered.

Correction. As I don't like to mislead anyone I have to confess that the hoverfly which was the main picture last Friday was incorrectly identified.
More research has convinced me that it was Volucella pellucens known as the Great Pied Hoverfly.
