Morning service with delightful and joyful people of St Augustine’s, Ashen and accompanying benefice churches. Ashen is a tiny, idyllic, historic place, population 323, with roots stretching back to the stone age, bronze age, Roman and Saxon times. The church family is very active and lively and the church is growing at a fast rate. These are very happy people doing great things across the small villages in their area. Wonderful!

Pictured is the all-action church warden, next to the latest window display, illustrating their latest Messy Church meeting. What you can’t see is Maureen’s huge wall hanging for prayers, an idea she pinched from the local John Lewis store.

What a great faith family they gave there in Ashen!

And then on to see Garry, Hayley & Lee, Tyson & Dani, remembering Karen two years on. Still a lot of sadness but also great memories coming to the fore. And how proud Garry and Karen must be of how well their children are doing.
