The perfect raspberry terroir

Peebles has an excellent raspberry terroir - and nowhere better perhaps than our sheltered and sunny allotment.  Loamy soils that warm up quickly and enjoy good drainage, coupled with long summer daylight hours, a climate that’s drier than the west coast, along with relatively moderate temperatures.  This is the result - large, tasty fruit perfect for picking right now, and great for turning into jam for the winter.

And yes, as the additional info suggests, this is a smartphone shot - hence the slightly less than perfect focus :)
