Early morning bath

This pigeon was very paticular about which puddle he chose to bathe in.. took his time sampling each of them before hunkering down in this one.  He didn't go in for any splashing.. just sat down ..and stayed there for quite some time before gently preening his tail then quietly dipping each wing first leaning left then right... no splashing.. most odd.. The soak took about 5 minutes during which his mate called from above and he cooed back causing circular ripples caused by the vibration from within to head out to the edges of the puddle.  Then gently rose with a dripping under carriage and went off in search of breakfast amongst the gravel.. a gentle Sunday.

I on the other hand drove to London to see my eldest daughter and to have lunch with her.  We had a lovely natter and caught up on all our adventures and took a walk with Flossie in the local park.  A long drive in unfortunately caused by the ban on cars in the middle of the city to allow cyclists to enjoy the day without traffic.. very commendable l am sure but it did make for terribly slow moving traffic on the periphery where l was.. ho hum.  Home now and Poldarked... bed soon

Happy Sunday all!
