We decided to do a quick road trip to Akureyri in the North of Iceland (about 425 km from us), mainly to see if one can do it driving an electric car and using the fast charging stations that are along the way. Our current car is a hybrid, but it is a bit big and we are thinking of getting one that is just electric. The experiment was a success, not so successful was our decision to spend the night in a caravan park in Akureyri, sleeping in the car! But we survived, walked around town the next morning and saw 2 cruise ships in the harbour, resulting in lots of elderly passengers walking the streets.
